French Press is a variation of the Plunger Pot, originating in France.
Production method
Coarsely ground coffee is added to a carafe, hot water is poured over it, and the mixture is allowed to steep. After steeping, the plunger with the mesh filter is pressed down to separate the grounds from the brewed coffee.
